Biography
Agricultural food production and nature conservation are often pictured as two spatially separated practices that have to make room for one another. However, what if these two practices can actually work synergistically? My research focusses on the investigation of ‘agriwilding systems’, a novel form of nature inclusive agriculture, that combine both of the above practices within the same area.
My own particular interests lie in discovering the added value of an agriwilding system for biodiversity compared to conventional agricultural practices, and whether agriwilding could serve as an alternative source for sustainable, healthy food production.
